CASPAR’s Outpatient Clinic provides intake and assessment, individual and group counseling, and psychoeducational pre-treatment groups for adolescents, men, women, their relatives and significant others, and court referred individuals who are directly or indirectly affected substance use disorders.

In addition to its traditional clinic setting at 162 Highland Avenue in Somerville, our Outpatient Clinic operates as a “clinic without walls” in the communities of Cambridge and Somerville by offering treatment in various nontraditional community-based locations in and around the community in an effort to reach people where they are. 

Services are provided in hospitals, courts, and at various social service agencies, including many of CASPAR’s programs.  By reaching people in settings which they frequent and where they feel comfortable, CASPAR is able to reach the most vulnerable populations of individuals affected by substance abuse who would otherwise not access treatment,  and to offer them counseling services without stigma.
