Relief worker for Women's ResidentialTreatment Programs

CASPAR's Women's Residential Treatment Programs include a 20-bed program for women inearly recovery who need a structured substance abuse treatment program and a 10 bed residential program for pregnant and post-partum women and their babies.  We are currently looking to establish a list of qualified people who could provide support during relief shifts.

  

Reports to:                                     Shift Supervisor 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:     None 

 

Hours:                                             Relief Shift On Call as needed

                                                         Shifts include: 

                                                         Monday-Friday, 3:30 to 11:30PM,                

                                                         Weekends 7:30AM to 3:30PM and

                                                         Awake overnights.

 

Primary duties include:

 

·        Responsible for the safety of the house at all times.

·         Monitor client activities to ensure compliance with program rules and regulations.

·         Maintain daily log and answer any calls that might come in during the shift.

·         Dispense medications and maintain medication log during med times on your shift.

·         Responsible for handling emergencies, which may include coordinating referrals or calling for emergency transportation for residents.

·         Provide crisis intervention, and support to women as needed.

·         Call staff on beeper when situations arise which are questionable.

·         Administrative tasks as assigned such as copying, filing, answering phones.

·        

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Residential experience required
  • Must have crisis intervention/mediation skills
  • Minimum of one year recovery (if applicable)
  • Demonstrated commitment to recognizing and preserving the dignity of the people we serve.
  • Solid problem solving skills and the ability to follow-through
  • Able to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively with others and independently
  • Must be able to multi-task in an active setting and be able to respond physically to the needs of the clients or other house issues.
  • Must be CPR certified and pass Self-Preservation Test (Fire Drill Test) 

Salary:  $10/hour
