(Part-time)

Position:        Direct Care/ Program Staff I

Program:       CASPAR Emergency Service Center

                         240 Albany Street, Cambridge, MA

Reports to:    Shift Supervisor

This position is part-time.  Working the Relief Shift varies by day and week.

Minimum Position Requirements

1.        High School Diploma

2.        Minimum one year experience in human services or related field

3.        Ability to work effectively with others

4.        Minimum of one year recovery (if applicable)

5.        Demonstrated commitment to the recognizing and preserving the dignity of the people we serve

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

                  1.      Provide direct care by means of supervision of program participants, in order to maintain order, and to insure that people in the building are safe and cared for properly.

                  2.      Help prepare and serve meals as needed

                  3.      Make appropriate referrals and complete follow-up in referrals to insure proper aftercare.

                  4.      Maintain accurate records in the form of the guest log, daily log, client contact forms, and other programmatic documentation.

                  5.      Meet regularly with shift supervisor.

                  6.      Other duties as assigned by shift supervision, senior direct care staff member, program director, director of emergency services, or the executive director.

Salary: $12/hour
